Do you believe in omens/superstitions? I like to believe that I do not. Well, I still want to keep it that way as much as possible. However, sometimes I went off the rails and challenged my beliefs from time to time. Let’s talk about the date, the 31st of January. There seems to be so much hype around this very date, and I can’t shake off the thoughts. Before the military intervention, this date would have been considered nothing more than a mere ordinary day by the general public, myself included

I’ve to lose one more elephant.  I love telling the story of how much I love elephant key rings.  Every time I see them in sight, I have to resist my urge not to touch them, in the worst cases, not to buy them eventually.  I bought my first elephant keyring in December 2019, on the last day, the 31st. Perhaps it was a coincidence; who the hell knows, 2020 came with covid. Again, I  bought the second one on the 31st of December 2020, in anticipation to counteract, but as we all know, the shit hit the fan — the bloody coup happened. 

Before yesterday I was still thinking to buy, a new year gift to myself, a pair of wireless earbuds which would cost me 250$.  Today I’ve decided to raise that money to buy food for those who are in great hunger.  Here is my story: yesterday I was shaken to the news of this woman who collapsed because of starvation at workplace.  I got to learn that she had no food for the past three days. She unfortunately is one of many who are now suffering greatly from lack of food in this unprecedented time of corona madness.
