It took me over 13 years to get my hands on this book, 'Harp of Burma,' written by Michio Takeyama with the aim of giving young Japanese readers hope after the devastation of World War II. It was first published in 1946. The English translation by Howard Hibbett was released 20 years later, in 1966. By chance, I watched the film adaptation back in 2011 and fell in love with it. That was how I learnt about the book. The story is set during the World War II

I’ve to lose one more elephant.  I love telling the story of how much I love elephant key rings.  Every time I see them in sight, I have to resist my urge not to touch them, in the worst cases, not to buy them eventually.  I bought my first elephant keyring in December 2019, on the last day, the 31st. Perhaps it was a coincidence; who the hell knows, 2020 came with covid. Again, I  bought the second one on the 31st of December 2020, in anticipation to counteract, but as we all know, the shit hit the fan — the bloody coup happened.

It’s a fascinating nature of us.  We all love to share success and happy stories but rather feel reluctant to share failures and let-downs.  I wasn’t an exception. 2020, to begin with, was an interesting year for me. I quit my job for the first time and was out of work for 6 months. I suffered from a great depression and had to go through loads of therapy sessions.  I had a drinking issue too. I’m thankful for the undeserving love
