🌹 Happy 81, Daw Suu 🌹

I’ve found more warmth, more wholehearted love, more tenderness, more courage, and more caring concern among my people, as we hope together, we suffer together and struggle together, than anywhere else in the world Aung San Suu Kyi Letter from Burma (1997)

I do not do reviews cos I am bad at them but this one is gonna make an exception.

The Aravind Adiga's White Tiger has changed my opinion of India, in a good way tho.

It gives me thoughts about lives in India and the caste system they practice there.

If I am not mistaken, Myanmar have adopted some of their practices here as well but I cannot name them.

Anyway, we may beg to differ here but I have no reasons to blame those changed their religion just to get away with the caste system.

I would have done the same knowing that how hard it is to live a life with so many obstacles.

If God has created us equal, then we all must have the rights to achieve who/what we want to be in our lives. It should not be the caste that defines who/what we will be despite our intellectual fit.

India is definitely in my travel list.
