ပျောက်ဆုံးသွားခြင်း၏ ပျော်ရွှင်မှု

It is always the fear of not knowing which path to take when a cloud of uncertainty looms over us.

This great unknown paralyses us, making us hesitant to make any decisions. We would lie awake at night, and stare at the ceiling. Our mind becomes a whirlwind of what-ifs. We question every possibility - career choices, relationships, and life goals.

We just can’t simply see a way forward.

The worst part after all is that we spend so much of our time focusing on this fear of being lost, and forget the simple joy of exploring.

Let’s imagine we are on a foreign trip. After checking into our hotel, we take a leisurely stroll around the neighbourhood. Our curiosity leads us away from the hotel and into the unknown. With every step, we are awed by the unfamiliar sights and sounds of this foreign land. Then, suddenly, we realise we are far from the hotel. Panic sets in. We attempt to retrace our steps, but due to the language barrier, asking passers-by for directions is of no use.

In this moment of distress, we remember our smartphone and it comes to our rescue. We take it out of our bag, open a map application, find our location, zoom out to get a broader view, and search for familiar streets and the name of our hotel. Our lost sense of security returns only when we can pinpoint our location.

However, what we did not realise is that being lost has its own rewards. The map now offers us options and a newfound freedom to choose our path. We can detour and explore the area further, take a longer yet scenic route, or spend some time at a charming nearby bookstore and a cosy café. We can once again appreciate the beauty of this unfamiliar street.

I believe that we can apply this lesson to life. When we find ourselves lost in our life journey, we should not panic or rush to retrace our steps. Instead, we should take a moment to find ourselves, understand our surroundings, and reflect on the choices we have made. We should embrace the opportunity to explore new options. Perhaps this is time to revive our long-neglected dreams or discover new passions that we never knew existed.

After all, it’s in those moments of exploration and self-discovery that the most beautiful experiences often unfold.
